Process

You will always know what happens next.

Most bad agency experiences come from the same place: the client cannot tell what is happening or when it will be finished. Here is our sequence, what you get at each stage, and what we need from you to keep it moving.

STAGE 01

Discovery call

Thirty minutes on a video call. We ask what you are trying to achieve, who it is for, what already exists and what your deadline is. By the end of the call you will have a price range and a rough timeline.

If your project is outside what we do well, we will say so during this call rather than take the work and disappoint you. There is no charge and no obligation to continue.

STAGE 02

Written proposal

Within two business days you receive a document that lists every deliverable, the total fixed price, the payment schedule, the delivery dates, how many revision rounds are included and what is explicitly out of scope.

Nothing is charged and no work begins until you approve that document in writing. If you want changes to the scope, we revise the proposal rather than adding costs later.

STAGE 03

Kickoff and content

You pay the 50% deposit, which reserves your slot in the schedule. We send a short checklist of what we need from you: text, images, logins, brand assets and the name of the one person who gives final approval.

This is the stage that most often causes delays, so we are direct about it. If content is late, the delivery date moves by the same number of days and we will tell you as soon as it happens.

STAGE 04

Design

We present concepts using your real content, never placeholder text. You give consolidated feedback in one pass, we refine, and you approve. Two full revision rounds are included in every project.

If you need more rounds after that, we quote them at $180 each and wait for your approval before doing the work. You will never receive an invoice for something you did not agree to first.

STAGE 05

Build and testing

The approved design is built on a private staging URL that you can open at any time to watch progress. No waiting for a big reveal at the end.

Before launch we test on current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, on iOS and Android, check colour contrast against WCAG AA, and tune page weight and loading performance.

STAGE 06

Launch and handover

You pay the final 50%, we deploy to your hosting, connect your domain, verify analytics and confirm forms deliver correctly. Then everything is handed over: source files, design files, logins and documentation.

You own the finished work outright. We include a short screen recording walking your team through the edits you are most likely to want to make yourselves.

STAGE 07

Thirty days of aftercare

For thirty days after launch we fix any defect in what we built, at no cost. A defect means something we delivered does not work as specified — not a change of mind about the design.

After that window you can either handle the site yourself, come back to us for one-off work, or move onto a monthly care plan. There is no automatic enrolment into anything.

Your side of it

What we need from you

A project runs on time when both sides do their part. This is ours, and this is yours.

One decision maker

Name the single person whose approval is final. Design by committee is the most reliable way to double a timeline and dilute the result.

Content on schedule

Text, images and logins by the date in the proposal. We can write light placeholder structure, but we cannot invent your business's actual words for you.

Feedback in one pass

Collect your team's comments and send them together. Feedback arriving in ten separate messages over two weeks is what turns a four-week project into a nine-week one.
